Greg Kot has been the Chicago Tribune's pop music critic since 1990. His biography of Wilco and the state of the music industry, "Wilco: Learning How to Die," was published in 2004 by Doubleday/Broadway Books. He's a regular contributor to Rolling Stone, Blender, Entertainment Weekly and other national periodicals. In addition, his work has been published in Encyclopaedia Britannica and numerous books, including "Harrison, a Rolling Stone tribute to George Harrison"; “Cash: By the Editors of Rolling Stone”; "The Trouser Press Guide to '90s Rock"; and “The New Rolling Stone Album Guide.”
Greg lives on Chicago's Northwest Side with his wife, two daughters and far too many records.
