Working on my mix cds, and I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to normalize track-to-track volume in bulk.
I know I can go open up various files in soundforge and up the volume manually, but is there a good way to fix them up automagically?
I use easy cd-da extracter, by the way, which would has audio processing for normalization, but I have no idea what I should be setting it at.

To re-encode the actual files?

I would use CD Architect for a job like that. No re-encoding, no messing around. Adjust levels, EQ, cross-fade... go nuts. No need to change the original files.
I'm pretty sure a full demo is available on their website.

To re-encode the actual files?
Replaygain by song. Apply data to files, not the id3 tag.
However I'd make copies of the files before you do it, if you have them stored as whole albums.

Testing out MP3 Gain right now.
Default goal is 89db. Thoughts on if I should just go with that?
all but three tracks have clipping. Nice work producers.
